Stockholm, Feb 5 (EFE).- At least 11 people were killed in Sweden’s deadliest gun attack at an adult education center in Örebro, police said Wednesday.
The suspected gunman is believed to be among the dead, and casualty figures may rise, police said.
The number of wounded in Tuesday’s incident is still unclear, although six people remain hospitalized in stable condition, two of them in the intensive care unit.

“We do not yet know the motive for the school shooting in Örebro, but everything indicates that the perpetrator acted alone without an ideological motive,” police said Wednesday.
The suspect was not previously known to police, and his motive is part of the investigation.
The shooting took place at 12.30 pm Tuesday in the city of Örebro, 200 kilometers west of Stockholm, at Campus Risbergska, a school for adults who did not complete formal education or failed to get the grades to continue to higher education.

“It’s hard to take in the scope of the darkness that is now spreading over Sweden tonight,” said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson Tuesday night, adding: “This is the worst mass shooting in Swedish history.”
“Many questions remain unanswered, and I cannot provide those answers either,” he said.
Authorities are now working on identifying the dead.
The entire campus will remain closed for the rest of the week, although the rest of the municipal schools will open as normal on Wednesday.
Local authorities have set up telephone lines and several centers for those who need psychological . EFE
