Jerusalem, Apr 5 (EFE).— Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have killed at least 60 people and injured 162 others over the past day, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said on Saturday.
Since Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza in October 2023, more than 50,600 people have been killed and another 115,225 injured, the ministry said, warning that many bodies remain trapped under the rubble.

The figures include casualties since Mar. 18, when Israel resumed its offensive, breaking a ceasefire that had been in place since mid-January. In that time, at least 1,309 Palestinians have died and 3,184 have been wounded.
Health authorities say the majority of victims are women and children. According to UNICEF, at least 100 children have been killed or injured every day since hostilities resumed, with more than 300 child deaths recorded in recent weeks.
Israel says its renewed offensive has killed approximately 250 “terrorists” in Gaza since mid-March. EFE
