Netanyahu: ‘Next, Tehran and every regime site’

Jerusalem, June 14 (EFE).– Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Saturday announced a new wave of airstrikes on Tehran, vowing to target all sites linked to Iran’s ruling regime.

“We will hit every target of the ayatollahs’ regime,” Netanyahu declared in a video message released by his office,

“We have paved the way to Tehran. Very soon, you will see IAF planes above Tehran’s skies, the Israeli Air Force, our pilots flying over the skies of Tehran,” he said.

Netanyahu described Iran as posing a “double threat” through its pursuit of nuclear weapons and its development of ballistic missiles.

According to the prime minister, Iran aims to build 20,000 ballistic missiles with the goal of “destroying the State of Israel.”

“We cannot allow them to develop the capacity to produce 20,000 missiles. That’s why we’ve taken action to eliminate it. And that’s exactly what the Israel Defense Forces are doing now,” he added.

“What they’ve felt so far,” Netanyahu warned, “is nothing compared to what they will feel in the coming days. We are working intensively to eliminate this double threat to Israel.”

He said that Israel has already dealt “a severe blow to Iran’s main research center,” including striking a nuclear conversion facility and the team of scientists leading Iran’s weapons program.

“This has already been done and could set them back for many years,” he said. “But there is more we will do—though I cannot share all the details.”

Referring to the three people killed in Israel by Iranian missile strikes, Netanyahu urged unity and vigilance. “Precisely when there are casualties, Israelis must raise the flag. I share the families’ grief and again urge everyone to follow Home Front Command instructions. They save lives.”

Netanyahu also said that world leaders have expressed “deep iration” for Israel’s determination and military achievements.

“We are in a crucial battle for our existence. We will fight until we achieve victory,” he declared.

Israel launched its initial strikes on Iran at around 3:00 a.m. Friday, citing advances in Iran’s nuclear program and its growing ballistic missile threat.

Since then, Israeli forces have targeted a range of Iranian military infrastructure, including air defense systems and missile warehouses, as well as high-ranking of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and nuclear scientists.

According to Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Saeed Iravani, the Israeli attacks have killed 78 people and injured 320 so far.

In Israel, four waves of Iranian missile strikes between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning killed three people in Tel Aviv and injured more than 70. EFE
