Barcelona, Spain, May 15 (EFE) – Barça was crowned LaLiga champions on Thursday after winning the Catalan derby against Espanyol 2-0 at the RCDE stadium.
The Balugranas got off to a slow start, with Urko González coming close to scoring for Espanyol in the first 15 minutes.
Espanyol pressed hard during the first 25 minutes, until Pedri and Robert Lewandowski fired dangerous shots for the visitors.
In the second half, Balde’s aggressiveness forced the Espanyol defense to the flanks, giving Lamine Yamal a golden opportunity once he collected the ball and fired into the top corner to give Barça the lead.

Espanyol kept up the pressure and the Blaugrana defenders had to watch their backs as the home side continued to find space behind the Barça backline.
The second goal was a heart-stopper almost at the end of the game, as Fermín sealed the victory and the title for the Blaugrnas with a beautiful shot from the edge of the box. EFE
